You may be a standard basics type when it comes to the fashion game. But, every so often you know how to turn something old into new. Leading your teammates to step up their game. It's a blast from the past when you turn your basic into a tie dye shirt. But, seriously how cool! We've put together a few DO IT YOURSELF tarps in various colours as a base to your TIE DYE creation. DIY TIE DYE - How to Instructions:

You will need: Elastics (as many as desired), Bleach (we used Clorox and please seek adult help when using this product), Latax Gloves (this step is very important throughout the process), Squirt Bottle, Plastic Bags, Tee Shirt.

CAUTION: Bleach can cause health issues if ingested, or touches your skin/eyes. To ensure that this is avoided we ask that you wear latex gloves. Avoid rubbing your eyes, and if need be wear goggles. If you sense it has touched your skin please read the health and safety instructions on the Bleach bottle and if needed please seek a doctor.

Step 1: Scrunch or fold shirt as desired (example: the swirl technique)
Step 2: Wrap elastics all around the shirt and make sure it is wrapped tight
Step 3: Put On GLOVES!!!  do not skip this step. The carefully place bleach into squirt bottle and seal it tight
Step 4: On Grass or Cement (avoid hardwood, carpet or patio/decks), start to squirt the bleach onto the shirt. The more bleach you place the more it will change color. Do not soak the entire shirt otherwise it will no longer have the tie dye look.
Step 5: Place the tie dye in plastic bag and tie the bag
Step 6: Leave the shirt for 4-8 hours (we did 6 hours in the bag, and the longer you leave it the whiter the bleach mark will become)
Step 7: With GLOVES, open bag and remove the elastics. Place shirt in the washing machine immediately and start cycle (to lose the bleach set preferable wash the shirt twice then dry it).
