Stanley Cup Celebrations
Blog — By lizzie87 on June 12, 2012 1:17 PMNow that the 2012 Cup Playoffs are over and the Kings have officially won the hardest trophy in sports to win, the guys on the team all get to look forward to one day in the summer when they get their day with the Cup – and we get to look forward to hearing about what crazy things they get up to (on top of the celebrations immediately following the win)
In the meanwhile, we can look back at what some of the other guys who have won the cup have done in the past…
Tyler Seguin (2011) kept most of his time with the Cup pretty PG, received it in downtown Toronto and then taking it to his hometown of Brampton (so nice of him to pick up the Cup in Maple Leafs Square, just to remind Leafs fans that he would’ve been in blue and white if it hadn’t been for the Kessel trade. As if we could forget)
I assume he was a bit tired of drinking and partying after the Bruins $156,000 bar tab in Boston (just kidding, getting tired of partying never happens)
Speaking of partying, Patty Kane didn’t let anyone down (2010)
Patrick Sharp took the Cup up to Thunder Bay and amongst other things, adorably got his dog to eat out of it (Blackhawks fans already know Shooter quite well)

The Penguins partied in the locker room with Cabbie (2009)
And then Crosby went back to playing more hockey

We won’t get to find out out the various guys on the Kings celebrate their day with the Cup but at the very least, I expect their dating lives will only get better than they were pre-Cup win.
In all seriousness, congrats to the L.A. Kings. This is what they’ve been playing for all their lives
