The Kerrzy Report: Goals of the Week!

Blog — By on April 12, 2012 4:45 PM

As we get ready to take in some first round playoff action in the NHL, let’s not forget to look back on the beauty goals that got us to this point!

This week on the GOTW (for the week of March 26) we’ve got a couple of guys getting on the end of beautiful plays by their teammates and three awesome breakaways. If you scroll right to the bottom, you’ll also see one of the strangest goals of the year!

Let’s go!

5. Jakub Voracek

That series between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins is really going to be something, especially if we get to see the type of games we saw recently between those two clubs. Check out this beauty goal from Jakub Voracek!

4. Mikko Koivu

The Minnesota Wild might not be in the playoffs, but they certainly ended the season on a high note with plays like this overtime goal by Mikko Koivu – what a beauty!

3. Gustav Nyquist

Gustav Nyquist scored his first career NHL goal recently, and it couldn’t have been a more memorable one! Check out the feed from Pavel Datsyuk, right onto the tape of Nyquist!

2. Alex Radulov

He hasn’t been back in the NHL for long, but Nashville Predators forward Alex Radulov is certainly making himself at home – watch him dice through the Blackhawks defence for this unreal snipe!

1. Kyle Turris

Ottawa Senators forward Jason Spezza did all the work on this Kyle Turris goal, and I doubt anyone will remember that it was Turris who ended up getting credit for it. Check out the moves on display from Spezza!

What the Puck?

Thomas Vanek scored a goal recently against the Pittsburgh Penguins that probably goes down as the strangest, yet nicest goal I’ve seen in a while!
